East Herts Ramblers is now in its 31st year and some of our founder members are still walking with us regularly - testament to the health benefits of walking and the friendliness of our Group.
New members are always welcome to any of our walks and if you are new to walking and unsure of your fitness and ability to walk all day we also provide figure-of-eight walks so you can come along for just morning or afternoon.

We are an active sociable group who put on walks every weekend usually alternative Saturdays and Sundays and a shorter midweek walk once every three weeks. Car sharing from Watford is encouraged.
We organise 3 weekends away and an annual holiday each year.
(HF07) Finchley & Hornsey Group
The Finchley and Hornsey Ramblers Group is based in North London but we have such wonderful countryside around us that we walk anywhere between the Chilterns in the West through to Essex in the East, not forgetting the captivating byways of London on our doorstep and sometimes even venturing south of the Thames.
We are a friendly group and our aim is to help and encourage everyone to enjoy the delights and benefits of walking and our members regularly step out each week to meet up with friends and enjoy a relaxing walk in the countryside.
As well as a varied choice of weekly walks we also arrange a long weekend walking over the Spring bank-holiday, a week's walking during the summer, summer and winter solstice walks with a bring and share picnic, Christmas walk and lunch as well as walks further afield using coach or train.

(HF51) Herts Weekend Walkers Group
Herts Weekend Walkers is a new walking group founded in September 2013. It is part of the Ramblers and enjoys varied walks in and around the county of Hertfordshire. The group is mainly aimed at people of working age in their 40s & 50s who can usually only find time to get out for a walk at the weekend.
The group enjoys social events and trips away, and embraces walkers of any age who are looking for a friendly and welcoming group.
We aim for an active programme of walks throughout the year, and as our name suggests, these are mostly on a Saturday or Sunday. Members can offer walks whenever and on whatever date/time suits them. Our walks are usually between 5 and 12 miles and are mostly located within Hertfordshire.
Walks are led by volunteer members of the group who give their own time to plan and lead them. They are listed on the Ramblers website and additional details are sent out weekly to our members.
The walks tend to be followed by a visit to a pub or tea rooms and occasionally we organise a meal at the end.
To receive updates about the group, please subscribe to our mailing list by going to our website at www.hertsww.org.uk
We are always pleased to see new walkers so do come along and try us out. Just introduce yourself to the walk leader on the day. Regular walkers with the group are expected to become members of Ramblers and to specify Herts Weekend Walkers as their 'home' group.
