Most of our members live in the South East London Area, and we walk in Kent, Surrey, Sussex.
We cater for a wide range of requirements. Our programme includes Sunday walks and Wednesday walks of 7 to 9 miles and 10 to 14 miles most weeks and occasional morning, afternoon or evening walks. We also organise an Amble of 6 to 8 miles every other Wednesday. Ambles aren’t shown in our walks programme, if you would like details of the next Amble please phone Altie Bacon on 01322 529504 after 7pm please. Please only phone Altie about ambles, not any other Ramblers business.
We run Group holidays to destinations in this country and abroad, which are very popular.
We are a very friendly group who welcome people of all ages.

Everyone is welcome to join us on our organised walks. Many members of other Ramblers groups walk with us, and non-members also come along - we hope that after 2 or 3 walks you'll want to join!
Walks are planned and led by our members and details can be found in our online programme. We enjoy sharing our countryside and our favourite walks with others. It's a great feeling to lead the group to a spectacular view or a carpet of wild flowers.
Shorter walks are usually more local to Sevenoaks, longer ones may range farther away. There are two long lines of hills near here, the North Downs and the Greensand Ridge. These offer woodland walking and very different flowers, as well as some fine, far-reaching views as a reward for climbing the hillside.
Have a look at our programme and find a walk that might suit you. Please feel free to contact the leader if you'd like to know more. We'd love to meet you!

Our Group walks between the flat lands of Thanet and the Romney Marsh, enjoying the Downland beside Dover and Folkestone and the Alkham and Elham Valleys. Our programme includes easy walks in Thanet and longer treks and adventures across the Channel in France. We have had problems with our "Right to Roam" on downland because of MOD exemptions.

East Kent Walking Group 20s-40s is a group specifically for younger people within Kent Area of the Ramblers. We are a friendly and welcoming group made up of couples and singles and there are usually between 10 and 25 people on an average walk so you'll get to meet loads of people!
We walk between 8-16miles every Sunday and there are also shorter walks most Saturdays and one evening in the week during the Summer for some after-work stress relief!. Our Sunday walks usually incorporate a pub stop for lunch or a drink in one of the many pretty countryside pubs across East Kent and we have a very active social life, regularly meeting up for dinner, cinema, drinks, BBQs etc.
You can find all the details about the group including our walks programme and contact details on our website www.ekwg.co.uk or Facebook page EKWG or e-mail the Chairman, Alison Hargreaves on chairmanekwg@gmail.com for more information.
