The local Preston Ramblers group, one of several local groups in the Mid Lancashire area, held its first committee meeting on 26th April 1979. It now has approximately 265 members and is dedicated to developing and maintaining the Public Right of Way network and promoting the aims of The Ramblers within Preston and Fullwood and in the parishes of Barton, Broughton, Goosnargh, Grimsargh, Haighton, Lea, Whittingham and Woodplumpton.
You don't have to be a member to join us on our walks. If you are interested in joining the Ramblers, why not accompany us on a couple of walks as guests; you are most welcome. If you do join, quote Preston Group if you wish to belong to this group; otherwise membership is allocated according to Post Code.
All walks will start at the nominated start point except for Sundays where we meet in Market Street West/Great Shaw Street, Preston next to the NCP car park for car sharing. This eases problems on parking at our start points and helps people who don’t have transport. So if at all possible can you please use this facility.
