Swansea Ramblers has a programme of weekly walks of varying lengths. If you are new to walking why not find out what it’s all about by coming along on one of our regular Saturday short walks and join the growing number of people who walk with us for the fun and socialising on leisurely walks. We often finish a walk at a local pub where we can continue socialising over a drink and maybe a meal. If you are an experienced walker, then you could try some of our longer Sunday and midweek walks.

On our doorstep is the Gower Peninsula which was the first place in Britain to be designated as an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” (AONB) with sandy beaches, limestone cliffs and plenty of country walking. The group also makes frequent visits further afield, such as Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and other areas.

We would also like to expand the walks we provide (e.g. additional midweek strolls, evening walks, etc.) so if you would like to offer to lead a walk for Swansea Ramblers, please contact us.

Photographs of many of our previous walks are on our local website so have a look and see who we are and where we go.

A free series of Self-Guided Walks are also available on the web site. You can find us at: www.swansearamblers.org.uk

The Merthyr Valley Group is based in the Heads of the Valleys area of South Wales. Our Group Walks mainly take place in and around Merthyr Tydfil, in the Brecon Beacons and elsewhere in South East Wales. Occasionally walks are organised further afield and there is usually a May Bank Holiday tour. Walks take place each Saturday, starting at 10.00 am, and range from the longer, 10 miles plus down to the more leisurely 5 or 6 miles. These latter walks support the Change4Life movement.
