A walk along a pathway by the River Kelvin to the Forth & Clyde Canal, then a gentle ascent of Bar Hill and Croy Hill ( Roman Fort sites) before returning via the Antonine Wall, the Military Way and the canal towpath. .Ascent 155m.

Loch Chon to Inversnaid

From near Loch Chon we follow good tracks through the forest to Stronmacnair then along the Gleann Dubh for Stuc a'Bhuic. Here we head up into Gleann Gaoithe before a steep descent on good tracks to Cailness lets us gain the West Highland Way for the final section back to Inversnaid and the chance to see where Walter used his umbrella.
