A walk to the East of Winchester using three long-distance footpaths

�Downland Exodus� on Easter Saturday. Meet at 08.30 am at the Northcroft Leisure Centre car park in Newbury, grid ref SU 463672, to car share to EAST of WINCHESTER (c.60 miles round trip). We will follow a circular route, using sections of three long-distance paths (the �South Downs Way�, the �Monarch�s Way�, and the �King�s Way�), which offers fine views across large areas of Hampshire. Please bring sufficient food and drink to last all day, though there should be scope for at least one pub stop on the walk.

Parking at Spinningdale, a path leads through the F�ithe Bhuidhe forest towards Achue from where we take to trackless open hill terrain leading to Loch a� Ghobhair. A well used track then leads to Badachuil and the Bonar Bridge road which we follow to the crossroads. From there we take the Spinningdale road for a short way before taking a right turn to Migdale. A walk round Loch Migdale to Migdale Rock leads on to a good forest track which takes us back to Spinningdale. 12 miles (19km) 1140 ft (345m)
