A leisurely 8.5 mile walk through the Bedfordshire countryside taking in the picturesque villages of Old Warden, Ickwell and Northill, along with Shuttleworth House with its Swiss garden falconry centre and the world famous Shuttleworth Collection (a pre WW2 aeroplane collection) along with rolling woodland and fields.
We will be stopping for a drink at the pub at Old Warden and will eat our lunch in the pub garden if there is room.

This walk follows a section of the Wayfarer's Walk between Deane and Dummer, then follows the course of a Roman road toward Basingstoke and returns through Oakley. There will be a picnic stop about halfway round and a pub-stop near the end of the walk. There are some gentle hills.
